Gem Drop X is a fast-paced puzzle game where it's your job to clear the screen of gems before they squash you! (You're at the bottom, they're at the top, and they keep coming!) You grab gems (up to 10) of the same color and use them to knock more gems off the screen. Match 3 or more of the same color in a column and BAM! they explode! Any ajdacent gems of the same color also explode, causing a chain reaction that might cover the entire screen!

| A good little game for kids posted by Anonymous @ 193.250.125.51 on Oct 16 2003 1:09 PM | |||
| Hi, this is suitable for kids, it's fun and they need to think a little to succeed. Some bad details : the little man is too little. We can't see him a lot when playing. I think it's important for kids to identify themselves to a caracter they like - like Tux in Tux4kids. Why not enabling the choice of the caracter, and so Tux could be chosen ? And this game would suit with other Tuxgames ;-) It's easy : good for people and kids to learn the computer, but games lovers will be boring themselves quickly. | As explained in README.txt, use the [L] key to select the starting level. Tsk tsk! RTFM! :) | |||

| I'd like to be able to resume at the last level I played up to even after closing the game (Well.. I can now that I made it a command line option :) )... but it's a good feature for the game I think. After you've played a bit, the first few levels aren't challenging at all, and it's not real fun to beat them over and over just to get to the harder ones. | |||

| Actually, both the README and AUTHORS files mention that the game is based on "Magical Drop" (III to be specific) by SNK. :) How many stars would you have given me if you'd've read the docs? ;) | |||

| I would have put four stars if there was a mention it was a clone of one of my favorite games : Magical Drop. So I can rate only the clone, not the game itself. | |||

| This game can rock. Easy to learn, can get hard to play. My suggestion: make the whole game FASTER! By now, it can be played by my grandma without looking at ;) | |||

| A fun game (my girlfriend likes it a lot), and pretty damned good for being ported directly from an Atari 8-bit program written in "Action!"!!! :) | |||

| Nice idea of the game. But I think the graphics could be better (then it is worth at least 3 stars :-) | |||
