Vulture's Screenshot An isometric graphics interface to NetHack and SlashEM.

A fork of the now dead "Falcon's Eye" project

An isometric graphics interface to NetHack. The interface was called "Falcon's Eye", because the viewpoint resembles a "bird's eye view". This fork of the original "Falcon's Eye" is called "Vulture's Eye". "Vulture's Claw" is the same interface, but for Slash'EM

    $make
    [...]
  1. Ensure that you are running make from the root directory not within any of the subdirectories
  2. If you have done the above then your output is impossible because the output of running make without any paramaters is the help on how to run make, it will not actually compile anything.
  3. If you continue having issues post a bug report to the vulture's issue tracker but please include the full output and do not cut information out with [...] or it becomes almost impossible to discern what the problem is
Hope this helps

Well, looks nice but when I click the dload or go to the Trac site it's extremely hard to find out what to dload and install. I am still looking, Maybe just put it in a run installer as I hope most games here start doing.

It appears as if the Pre-compiled Macintosh versions Vulture's Claw and Vulture's eye don't work. They don't actually open up anything when clicked. Is there some additional setup required for the Mac version?

The latest version fails to compile uner msys/mingw with the following error: mingw32-make: *** No rule exists to make target '../win/vultures/vultures_keys.c' needed by 'o/vultures_keys.o'. Stop. Any idea what's happening there?

Oh we wont be stopping anytime soon. The main 'force' of development is in vultures2 which is 32bit instead of 8bit and many more changes. It's already playable, you can follow Vultures-2's progress on the mailing list, or just look here: http://usrsrc.org/darcs/vultures2/doc/changelog.html
