Slash'EM Screenshot A graphical roguelike game and variant of NetHack

Your goal is to grab as much treasure as you can, retrieve the Amulet of Yendor and escape the Mazes of Menace alive.

On the way you will need to complete at least one quest, besiege a castle, defeat Vlad the Impaler, and kill the Wizard of Yendor.

Once you get the Amulet all you have to do is get it out, through the elemental planes and finally become a demi-god/godess.

I wish they would focus more on bug fixing and less on adding new features. Still, it is a nice change from Nethack once that becomes somewhat easy or routine to play. I also wish that nethack would release a new version, perhaps incorporating some of the more interesting features of Slash'EM. I also find the version numbeing confusing and thus much less useful.

Five stars, because Nethack is great, but this is better.

It would be nice to have an OS X version. I tried playing the mac os version on my G4 powerbook, but it was so slow and buggy it was completely unplayable.

Dear GameTome, I think the french message with "couille" in it can be safely ignored. Being a french speaking person, this is pretty explicit (and totally useless) language.

Per the google translator. I think he's complaining about compiling, or something.

This used to be my favourite NetHack type game, but then I played NetHack Falcon's Eye. Would of been 4 stars, but NetHack Falcon's Eye has moved the "hack" games to a new level. This game is good but not great.

I love this game. It is the most addictive game ive played in a while. It doesnt need state of the art graphics to be awesome. I like the old version too. I GIVE THIS GAME 5 STARS!
