Robot Auto Racing Simulator Screenshot program a car driver and race against other programmers

The Robot Auto Racing Simulator (RARS) consists of a simulation of the physics of cars racing on a track, a graphic display of the race, and a separate control program (robot "driver") for each car. The goal of the game is to implement such a control program in order to compete against other programmers. An official formula one season is held every year.

tried it now since a couple (older) versions of rars, on a couple of mdk. distri's. on all possible compile methods offered by rars. allways failed. anyone knows a pre-compiled version??? i think the game concept is cool, but i'm really getting tired of all the failed compilations :(

The INSTALL file seems to be obsolete. Just do:
sh configure
make

thanx for trying to help.. just downloaded the new version, and failed again while make is running. steps out at compiling in directory /3ds ... no clue why... mdk9.1 - nvida 4191 (3D hardware works so far here with other games/stuff) .. ok, i give up, tried enough..

I've got the same problem on my Slackware-current system...

model_3ds.cpp: In member function `void Model_3DS::DrawObjects(bool)':
model_3ds.cpp:540: `glActiveTextureARB' undeclared (first use this function)
