Excellent game but... cheaters! posted by dowoshek @ 87.105.219.170 on May 15 2009 7:11 PM 55555
The game is very playable, but there're many cheaters playing the net-games (who can choose color of next balls). If i could suggest something, maybe the color of next ball should be randomized by server (not client) and sent to every client (exactly the same color to every client). This way not only it could be easier to spot a cheater but also make the game more fair and less "accident-driven", because every player would had to use exactly the same sequenze of colored balls but in better way than opponents... so... less luck, more tactics ;)

  A classic Bust-A-Move clone posted by jamyskis @ 84.61.27.255 on Jun 13 2007 2:47 PM 4444
An almost impeccable Bust-A-Move clone, with game mechanics that few can appreciate how hard it is to get right in a game like this. The net play as of 2.0 is excellent, which is good seeing as my main gripe with the single player mode is extremely repetitive and monotonous. Give us a bit of variety in the backgrounds, music and bubble themes throughout the single player mode, and you'll be well away!

The 2.0 version (and now the 2.1) is definitively a great improvement of the game, especially the multiplayer mode. Though, I am a bit disappointed to see the same graphics.. Colored balls haven't changed from the v1.0 ... I expected more, maybe 3D characters (like in Worms Blast) and more transparency effects for balls.. I'll play this game with pleasure anyway but I will still expect to see new GFX.

i have a problem when i run frosen-bubble:

Can't locate fb_stuff.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8/i586-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at /usr/local/bin/frozen-bubble line 61. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/bin/frozen-bubble line 61.

i found out that fb_stuff.pm is located at /usr/lib/frozen-bubble/perl/fb_stuff.pm Can you help me?

Try this (though I don't know if it will help):

export PERLLIB = $PERLLIB:/usr/lib/frozen-bubble/perl

then:

frozen-bubble
