BomberClone Screenshot Run through a maze, dropping bombs and blowing up the other players.

This is a Bomberman like game. You have to drop bombs which will be explode after a while. With this bombs you have to try to kill the other players. If you are the last player in the game you have won.

It's very easy to play.

You can find some powerups to get more range for your bombs and to drop more as just one bomb.

Our whole development team hates this game. No wait, only our boss does. We love that game and spend way too much time playing. If our projects fail, it is solely the fault of bomberclone. Shame on you, bomberclone! :) Seriously: The game does have a few bugs and the configuration interface is a bit weird, but playing it - especially in multiplayer - is extremely funny and addictive. Only 4 stars because of the little bugs and wrinkles, and because the idea isn't all that original, but a definitive must-play.

I loved it the graphics(you really have to see them move to appreciate them) are wonderful, I only don't give this 5 stars, because I couldn't get multiplayer working(It was a little confusing), the toggle on/off buttons on the interface were confusing. The only reason why I don't give this 5 is I wanted more in-depth somgle player and more characters. One of the most polished game I have seen for some time, although no dyna-blaster for a new century

It is a quiet fun game right now, but it would be awesom if it had more gfx effects, like the screen shaking with the bombs explonding, more bonuses, ie radio-controlled bombs, and an improved gameplay, as keeping playing after death, by throwing bombs...
But still an easily 4 stars game!

good game the player movement is too slow and in the time before each bomb explodes is too long.
I need to change it manually in the "basic.h" file: at least 20 for the start movement speed (and approximatively 60 for the max speed) and 3 sec for the time before explosion.
More options should be greater like the kick or the glove.

We're going to work in new elements as kicking bomb and all this.. about the timing i will do some options for this.. but i have to work over the menu engine again before i can put in there more options..

but let us (a friend and I) know what you all want in the game .. and we will do our best to put it into the game..

that's all for now..

bye bye

Eh Steffen:
Cool Game, but I noticed 2 problems:
1) I can't figure out how to get 2 humans to play -- either by sharing the keyboard or by using the keyboard and a WIngman Rumble Pad
2) I noticed that it links to libusbhid -- how do I get it to use my WIngman?

I like the AI stuff...
The main reason I am starting to use Bomberclone is that clanbomber refuses to run consistently on my system -- and the dudes at NetBSD. org have not upgraded it in the last 3yrs! Your game has already had 1 major upgrade -- 0.9 to 0.10 -- keep it up, keep it up :-)

Hi there,

I've been busy with working on some game internals. Which will help me to add to player support on one keyboard. About WingMans and all this.. well i think it is linked against something with USB because the SDL Library is linked to it.
About your Joystick and Multiplayer on one system Problem:
In the game i am not using any Joystick devices. But i will add them to my ToDo list. Even the Two Playersupport on one system. I will add this to my ToDo too.

Right now i have been working on some network internals. So AI player can join now already network games. The other thing is that i finally finished with moving everything over to floating variables. So i can soon drop the stupid 20ms limitation for a frame. (people with slower system will be able to play it now) Tested on my old Laptop (200MHz CPU).

The current task in the game is to reconstruct the whole menu part. I wrote me some kind of Graphic User Interface for it with List elements and Buttons and and and and. I only need some better graphics for the menus.

One last thing there is i will have to rewrite some part of the network part where i handle the bcmserv i will make some changes about it. I hope that in one month i will have finished the new version.

From some people i have got new music files which i am thankfull for this.. because the new tracks are much better.

oky thats all for now with some news.. have a good time Steffen
