Where the hell is that new version? Nothing new on the Website, nor on Sourceforge. The CVS repository is still empty...

What is new then?

It is not new version, but simply few important bugfixes that can be downloaded separately.

The files in the archive are from 2001, so you can't really call that "new".

One of the best! posted by dejan @ 217.211.103.109 on Jul 7 2003 4:21 PM 55555
This game is IMHO one of the best arcade multiplayer games made in last few years. It's fun (extremely! - especially when there are more than 4 players on one dedicated server), it has planty of cool features, cool maps, cool ships, clans, different types of games (death maches, team death matches, races and catch the flag), numerous types of munition...

The voice reminds me to Bezerks "Intruder Alert" voice.

  Controls... posted by asfand @ 195.92.67.65 on Apr 25 2003 3:56 AM 22
Nice graphics, simple and good. Very good to see nice 3D games coming out.

Controls - AARGH! Brings back memories of playing that darn 'Resident Evil' game! Up should mean up! Down should mean down!

The only way, in my humble opinion, that these sort of controls could work is if the whole map turned instead of the player - that way the ship would always be pointing 'up', and left would really mean left.

Sorry

Weird. I feel that the current way of control is the best for a kind of game like this. I don't think I would be able to have the same kind of control over the ship in those physics environments if I used directional controls.
The only way I might see directional controls working properly with this game is if you use an analog stick :-/

Zigakly! As it happens, I tried the game with an analog joystick.

I would have been good if the designers had put both modes: current, and analog absolute directional; into the game. Then I'd give it 4 stars.

What I'd really like is a 'Diablo 2' style item system (random stats'n'all) and a persistent inventory! Now that would rock!

Open source? posted by Anonymous @ 202.37.101.13 on Apr 23 2003 4:19 PM
Ok. Been to sourceforge. Where is the source code and what license is it released under? Anyone tried this release?

The Source Code is in the Download section (there is only one file to download, you can't miss it). The licence is in the source code tarball, and it's GPL.
